Here is a sweet recipe for Homestead Cocktail, with gin and sweet vermouth.

1 1/2 oz gin
3/4 oz sweet vermouth

Stir ingredients together with cracked ice in a mixing glass.
Strain into a cocktail glass, garnish with a slice of orange, and serve.
Serve in a Cocktail Glass.
